Our Host:
Clark Construction Clark is one of the largest building and infrastructure companies in the United States. Their portfolio spans every major building market, from public to private, corporate to cultural, education to entertainment, and the infrastructure connecting it all – power, transit, water, and roadways. |
Our Speakers:
Susan has worked in the environmental field for over 40 years. She started her career with the Maryland Department of the Environment where her focus was on water quality in the Chesapeake Bay. She then joined a firm specializing in hazardous waste disposal and soon formed Bay Associates Environmental, where she has been president for the past 32 years. Susan attended Syracuse Univ. and graduated from SUNY, Environmental, Science and Forestry with a degree in Environmental Biology. (There was no environment science program) She has been on the Board of several organizations including the local National Capital AHMP Chapter, the SAME (Society of American Military Engineers,), and Maryland Dept. of Environment’s, Controlled Hazardous Substance Advisory Council. (Although Controlled Haz. Substance may sound like drugs… , it is MD’s hazardous waste regulations) She has handled hundreds of hazardous waste disposal jobs, and still enjoys the fact that the regulations are not always based on logic and usually present a good mental challenge. As do her 3 dogs, 2 cats, and 3 children. |
