Crane operations are among the highest-consequence activities on any jobsite and the quality of your plan is the difference between a controlled lift and a catastrophic failure. This session breaks down the critical components of a comprehensive crane pick plan, including site assessments, ground bearing capacity, crane selection and configuration, rigging specifications, exclusion zones, communication protocols, and pre-lift meeting requirements.

Thomas Cieslak Vice President Wings Enterprises
Thomas Cieslak began his construction career at age 16 as a laborer, gaining hands-on experience in concrete reinforcement and jobsite operations. He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Maryland’s A. James Clark School of Engineering and an MBA from the Robert H. Smith School of Business. He currently serves as Vice President at a firm specializing in tower crane erection/dismantling and concrete reinforcement, where he supports lift planning, rigging coordination, and safe execution in the field. |
